Bio/Contact

Which one will you choose?

Here are a few options for my bio. My recommendation is C, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Option A: CORPORATE w/ family detail closer (for warmth)

After graduating magna cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Amy began her career as a Category Analyst at Family Dollar, Inc. in Charlotte, NC. Two years later, she moved to Atlanta, GA to study copywriting at Portfolio Center. Since 2019, she's been an Associate Director at PitchMaps, a B2B messaging consultancy. Other job titles have included Senior Writer at Kids2 (Baby Einstein, Bright Starts, and Ingenuity brands), Writer & Strategist at Iconologic, Correspondent (Melbourne, Australia) at GlobalPost, and Consumer Marketing Intern at VH1. Amy loves spending time with her husband and kids, Devon, Nora, and Anthony, and their yappy little dog, Joey.

Option B: Facts that say, "I'm eccentric!"

Okra lover. Former magician's assistant. Stickler for details.

I try to listen to "Good Vibrations" every day.

OPTION C: services-focused; Conversational

There's more than one way to skin a cat, but some approaches are definitely smarter and better. This bio page is a sneak peek at my process for any project. I brainstorm a long list of creative directions; define, develop, and share a handful of those ideas; and recommend the one that makes the most strategic sense.

My experience lies in brand strategy and engagement, research, naming, storytelling, content strategy and web writing, scripts, and brochure writing. I love getting involved early in the discovery phase, when the quest for the big concept has just begun. In short, I can help with almost anything except skinning a cat. Don't ask me to do that.

OPTION d: RUDIMENTARY

Hello. I'm Amy LoParo, a writer and strategist living and working in Atlanta, Georgia.

OPTION E: SIMPLE; ConFIDENT

[No bio. Keep the focus on the work.]
